Samsung announced that in response to customer demand for updates, new high-end smartwatch models will be introduced.
Samsung recently stated that it hopes to grow its wearable ecosystem in 2019 and gave a strong indication that it may release new, high-end smartwatch models. On Tuesday, the corporation released its Q1 2024 (January–March) financial results, along with its plans for the upcoming quarter and the remainder of the year. It may release new Galaxy Watch and possibly Galaxy Ring devices this year for its Mobile eXperience (MX) Business. The massive South Korean tech company also intends to include Galaxy AI into both current and upcoming flagship products.
Samsung disclosed its quarterly revenue in a press article, demonstrating a notable increase from quarter to quarter due to robust sales of its top Galaxy S24 devices. The computer giant stated that it made KRW 6.61 trillion (about Rs. 37 thousand crores) in operating earnings during the quarter. It also linked the higher profits to the MX Business's higher reported earnings.
The corporation disclosed its revenue figures in addition to its plans for the upcoming quarter and the remainder of the year. Samsung made a point of highlighting its intentions to grow its wearable ecosystem. It attempts to achieve this, among other things, by introducing novel form factors like the Galaxy Ring. Although the gadget was just shown off at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024, the release date has not been announced. The statement does, however, emphasize that the Galaxy Ring might be released later this year. It might go into mass production in the third quarter of the year, according to a previous report.
Samsung May Be Preparing to Release "New Premium Models" for the Galaxy Watch and the Galaxy Ring.Samsung plans to grow the division in two ways: by releasing new, high-end smartwatch models. Considering that the firm presently sells the Galaxy Watch 6 and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic as smartwatches, this is interesting. This year, though, it may also release additional models in addition to them. SamMobile reported that Samsung may introduce a new line of square or rectangular smartwatches.
This won't be a novel approach however, as the business previously sold square smartwatches under the now-canceled Galaxy Gear line. There are also rumors that the business plans to release a second smartwatch, possibly with a new rectangular dial, and give it additional functions under the "Pro" or "Ultra" brand.
